MINISTRY REPORT: OCTOBER 2021

Family Update
We are excited that the year is coming to an end. We are taking stock of 2021 and preparing to start the new year with zest and zeal. We are also glad that the Government of Kenya has lifted the 10pm curfew. Waturi got her Moderna Covid-19 vaccine. Mine is due in December. The girls are doing well in school. Thandiwe asked a series of questions of sin, wrongdoing and eternal life. We believe this is coming from the daily Bible stories that we read to her and her sister. We answered her questions and shared the Gospel with her. She said, out of her own will, that she wanted to give her life to Christ. We were surprised! But we consented to her request and led her to Christ. We have noticed a big change in her discipline and obedience since that night.

Dagoretti Boys High School – Monday 27th September 2021
I was invited to help a young man in Dagoretti Boys High school who was struggling with a masturbation addiction. I drove to the school and met the young man over lunch hour. He was very open and he confessed everything without reservation. He was a believer. I shared the Gospel again just to clarify that he was truly regenerate. After this, I prayer with him in light of James 5:16. As we prayed, I felt a heavy cloud lift above us. This was followed by a huge yawn from the boy. I heard the Holy Spirit say that it was a demonic stronghold and that it was lifted as we prayed. The boy talked to his father and confessed. The father called me. He was grateful for my help. I have been in touch with the family. He has not slipped back into the addiction. Jesus set him free.

N’S Deliverance – Wednesday 29th September 2021
A young lady by the name N came for inner healing and restoration. She had fallen into fornication and was exposed by the man she slept with. Her pastor castigated her and offered help to the man but not to her. Her family was hard on her as well. She had a lot of pain from rejection. She forgave her offenders, confessed her sin and received healing.

Kisii University – 1st to 3rd October 2021
The Christian Union of Kisii University and the Fellowship of Christian Unions (FOCUS) invited me to minister at the campus over this weekend. I was speaking on Christian Dating and Relationships. It was a great weekend where I met new friends and explored the evergreen county that I had never been to before. I shared the Gospel with the students and its relations to Christian dating and the pursuit of marriage. It just happened that the hotel I was staying in, Kamel Park Hotel, was hosting the Deputy President, William Samoei Ruto for the weekend. In the picture on the left are the Christian Union officials that hosted me.

Premarital Class – 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th October 2021
Our premarital class has been going on very well. On two weekends I was compelled to conduct the class outside Nairobi. On 3rd October I conducted it in Kisii county where I was preaching. On 10th , I conducted it from Kisumu county where I was visiting friends of mine. The internet signals on both weekends was horrible. I intend to perhaps invest in a MiFi for my own sake.

S’s Deliverance – Wednesday 6th October 2021
A young man by the name S came for inner healing and restoration. The man was in quite a fix. He had children out of wedlock and was struggling with the effects of some witchcraft and divination. His family had broken apart and he was desperate. The LORD broke the bondages that had held him down. S received a gift of discernment when we laid hands on him and prayed for the Holy Spirit to fill him.

Pastor David Kuria of 1000 Watts invited me to a discussion on the dangers of pornography and masturbation. We had a four-part recording where we talked about the effects of porn on the life on a consumer. The show targets the unchurched and the nominal Christian who has not yet made a commitment to Jesus Christ. The release will be in a few months.

Powerhouse Season 13 – 9th, 16th, 23rd October 2021
We began the 13th season of Powerhouse. We have about 50 men who have signed up. We expect that this season will equip the men to express their sexuality purely, to live their lives purposefully and to love their women passionately. We have been meeting on Saturday mornings from 6:00-8:00am.

I am team side eye the church but @ewamboye spoke very well about the church’s hesitancy sometimes when addressing SGBV within their congregation coming from a place of lost moral authority…(@Iam_Wanjiru). Dated: 15th Oct 21 at 13:16 hrs Twitter for Android.
